How Shayan works

How I work

My approach is calm and patient. I want you to have the time and information to decide whether a property is right for you. You should feel comfortable asking questions, revisiting a concern or deciding to keep looking. My role is to give you an objective assessment and help you move forward when you are ready.

When it is time to negotiate, I am focused on the terms and details that affect your position. That may mean working through a competing offer, addressing an inspection concern or resolving an issue before closing. I stay deliberate and firm while keeping you informed about the decisions in front of us.

I work in English, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi. Being able to discuss an offer, an inspection report or a financial commitment in the language you are most comfortable using makes those conversations more useful. I want you to understand what you are agreeing to and feel confident raising anything that needs clarification.

My background

Before entering real estate, I studied Police Foundations with the intention of pursuing a career in law enforcement. That education introduced me to active listening, conflict resolution and the importance of understanding how people respond under pressure.

Those lessons have stayed with me. When a conversation becomes tense, it helps to listen carefully, understand what is driving the concern and respond with a clear head. People need to know they have been heard before they can work towards a resolution.

I bring that approach to real estate negotiations and the everyday conversations that lead up to them. Buying or selling can involve uncertainty, competing priorities and strong emotions. I focus on helping clients work through the information, understand their options and keep their objectives in view. My background also reinforced the importance of empathy and clear communication—qualities I rely on when guiding people through a decision that matters to them.

Outside the office

I live in Cambridge and enjoy staying active in the community. Running, training at the gym and playing basketball are regular parts of my life outside work.

Time on the court or outdoors gives me a chance to recharge and keep a healthy balance. I am always happy to join a pickup game and enjoy the connections that come from sharing an interest beyond real estate.
