How I work

I answer my own phone. When you reach out, I want to hear what you are trying to accomplish before I start suggesting properties or talking about price. The advice is better when I understand what matters to you.

My finance background means I look closely at the numbers, but those numbers need context. A home you plan to live in and a property you are buying as an investment ask different things of your money. I work through the details with you so you understand what supports the decision and what deserves a closer look.

I will tell you when I think something is wrong for you. I have watched people walk away from a purchase on my advice, and I would give that advice again. If you need expertise beyond mine, I will help you find it. And when the transaction is finished, you can still call me.

My background

I studied financial mathematics and worked in asset management, on the side of the business that decides which investment products get built and what they cost the people buying them. That work taught me to look closely at the relationship between the cost of an investment and what it might give back. A convincing presentation still needs numbers that make sense.

I bring that habit into property. With a pre-construction purchase, the deposit schedule and occupancy period are part of the financial decision. They deserve attention before you become attached to a rendering. With a resale, I go through the comparable properties myself so I can explain how I arrived at a price.

The useful part of a finance background is being able to work through those details and make them understandable. I want you to know what you are committing to and the reasoning behind it. You should be able to explain why you paid what you paid.

Outside the office

I grew up in Brampton and still live here. I train most days, play on a soccer team and will usually say yes to a game of just about anything.

I follow financial markets and manage my own investment portfolio. That interest is personal as well as professional, and it helped lead me into real estate. When I can get out of the city, I fish. It is the one thing I will happily lose a whole day to.
